Valentines Nursery opened in 2003. We offer full day care and part-time sessional care for up to 32 children aged 0-5 years.

We are registered with Ofsted, who is our regulatory body and also work in strong positive partnership with the London Borough of Redbridge (Early Years & Childcare Improvement Team). Our Ofsted report may be viewed at: OFSTED REPORT

We are an Ofsted rated “OUTSTANDING” nursery (March 2017) and prior to achieving this highly prestigious status, have never been less than Ofsted rated “good”. We have been consistently assessed as “Green” under the Red/Amber/Green rating system used by the LBR Early Years and Childcare Improvement Team, indicative of high quality practice.

We were one of the first settings in Redbridge to have completed the Quilt (Quality Assurance in Learning and Teaching) scheme in 2008, receiving the highest level of credit in all 9 modules.

We are registered to cater for no more than 32 children at any one time and are open from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday for 52 weeks per year, apart from statutory holidays and 2 Inset days per year.

We offer flexible options for working parents and have a minimum attendance requirement of 3 half-day sessions (morning: 8am-1pm/afternoon: 1pm-6pm) or 2 full days (8am-6pm).

We offer places for children who wish to attend for a ‘free’ government funded place, if they are eligible for 2, 3 & 4 year old funding.

If you think that you might be eligible for 2 year old funding, please visit the following website using this link to check your eligibility.

A parent user guide is available at

Children will become eligible for 3 & 4 year old funding from the term after their third birthday. They will then be able to access up to 15 hours of ‘free’ education at nursery for 38 weeks per year.

We are registered to offer the 30 hours Extended Childcare Entitlement for working parents of 3 and 4 year olds from September 2017. Please check your eligibility and click here to begin your application
